Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) is one of the most widely used polyester which is chemically stable. Applications include food packaging containers, bottles, PET strapping, polyester fiber, textiles, electronics and automotive components. PET has excellent barrier properties for water and moisture. This quality has made this plastic an unmatched source to manufacturer food packaging containers, soda bottles, mineral water bottles and thermoformed sheets. This plastic is recyclable and PET flakes can be used in a wide range of applications
PET FLAKES (RECYCLING OF PET)
PET has a high contribution in the manufacturing of products that we use on a daily basis. Plenty of plastic bottles can be seen around us and most of them (99%) are made of PET plastic due to its excellent mechanical and chemical properties. PET is recyclable material and adds a great value to green environment and cost reduction. The PET recycling process follows the steps as collection, sorting, crushing, washing and packing of the PET flakes. The major PET waste sources are post-industrial waste and post-consumer PET waste. PET flakes can be of different qualities such as, cold washed, hot washed, size of the flakes etc. Every application of PET flakes has its own specific requirements. PET flakes are mainly used in PET bottles, PET perform, thermoforming, food packaging, pet strapping and polyester fiber manufacturing.
PET FLAKES-FOOD GRADE
Blue Wave follows standardized process of PET recycling. We have automatic washing line that automates all the processing including PET bottles feeding, label removing, crushing, washing and packing of the hot washed food grade PET flakes. We collect post industrial PET, production waste of PET bottle manufacturing plants and post consumer PET bottle bales. In Gulf around 80% light blue and 20% natural PET is used to manufacture water bottles. We are currently exporting to Europe, UK, USA, KSA, Malaysia, South Korea and Turkey.

Blue Wave has a strong sourcing for the collections of PET perform. We collect and processes light blue and natural PET perform. Our PET perform can be used in food grade applications such as PET bottles and PET perform and PET sheet manufacturing. Other applications include PET strapping and polyester fiber manufacturing.

Our company collects and process PET sheet natural. The source of this natural PET sheet is production facilities, this means this Pet material is purely production waste (not post-consumer or post-industrial) the material does not contains impurities such as dust, other plastics, or moisture. Our production team processes the material and transforms it into natural regrinds ready to be used. PET sheet natural regrind can be used in PET sheet thermoforming, PET strapping and polyester fiber manufacturing mainly.
